Two of the UK's top economic experts will be in Nottingham next
month to share their views on the nation's finances and outlook
with the region's business leaders.
It is a double-headed event on Thursday 11 August at Nottingham
Conference Centre, organised by the Institute of Directors (IoD)
and Lloyds TSB Commercial, featuring Trevor Williams, Lloyds Bank
Corporate Markets Chief and Graeme Leach, IoD Chief Economic and
Director of Policy.
Ron Lynch, IoD East Midlands Regional Director, said: "This
event promises to be a memorable one with two of the UK's best
economic predictors discussing the most important financial issues
of the day facing businesses."
Roger Galbraith, Area Director for Lloyds TSB Commercial, who
will also be attending the event, said: "With the anticipation of
rising interest rates and a host of other economic challenges, it
is important that SMEs in Nottingham take full advantage of the
support and guidance available to them.
"By attending this event, local companies have the chance to
benefit from the experts' experience, and ensure they are in the
best possible position to mitigate the risks and take advantage of
the opportunities that economic changes will present to businesses
going forward."
The two speakers will be part of the IoD's network lunch,
focusing on the economy. Bookings for the event, supported by
Lloyds TSB Commercial, can be made via
