Rowley's Peak Village Outlet is delighted to announce that one
its popular retailers, The Peak Barn Food Co has outgrown its
current premises but will be staying within the shopping centre,
expanding to the Old Station Building from 30 July and becoming
'Peak Barn'.
Since opening their doors in September 2009, The Peak Barn Food
Co has gone from strength to strength showcasing a diverse and
varied range of Derbyshire's local produce in its current Peak
Village unit. With this success, founder Sally Raynor from
Holymoorside, Chesterfield, has found herself now needing more room
while wanting to stay within the popular Peak Village shopping
development.
With an expansion to bigger premises, Peak Barn will now
incorporate the Old Rowsley Station Fudge Shop, selling interesting
flavors such as chilli chocolate and lemon meringue alongside old
classics such as vanilla and chocolate. The move to larger premises
will also now allow Peak Barn to expand their current ranges,
including:
• Cheeses from The Hartington Cheese shop
• Pastries including the ever popular Huntsman pie, quiches
etc.
• Cooked meats, bacon and sausages from the famous Coates
of Two Dales
• Locally made cooking sauces
• Traditional specialty deli items such as olives and
pastas.
• Sweet cakes and goodies and specialty breads
• Gluten free products
"I was really excited when the Old Station Building became
available." Sally said. "I've always thought it would be a
beautiful building to trade from. It's ideal for us as we didn't
want to have to move away from Peak Village but were ready to
consider expanding."
"We already showcase some of the county's great local produce
but our move will allow us to broaden our current ranges and also
try new products. We're hoping to soon be stocking a new range of
local ales and beers and to mark the move I will be renaming an old
favorite. My popular home baked gingerbread will become 'Rowsley
Old Station Gingerbread'."
As part of their expansion plans, Peak Barn will also be
launching a loyalty card scheme to thank regular customers and are
currently planning regular tasting days where they hope to welcome
customers old and new.
"It is brilliant to see retailers in the centre doing so well."
Said Terrence Morgan of Peak Village. "Peak Barn Food co has always
been popular with shoppers and we're pleased they are staying with
Peak Village as part of their expansion plans. We wish them every
success as they become Peak Barn in their new premises." He added:
"Peak Village is now almost at full capacity and proving to be a
great shopping venue for locals as well as the increasing numbers
coming into the county from further afield."
