One of the largest lettings in Staffordshire this year, totalling 179,221 sq ft has been secured by Coltham Developments at its Emperor Point site on Centurion Park in Tamworth.

Let to Home and Retail Deliveries Ltd by Jones Lang LaSalle, who recently merged with King Sturge, Emperor Point is in a prime location close to Junction 10 of the M42 and was successfully let within 3 months of becoming vacant.

This latest letting is one of a number of sizeable lettings achieved on Centurion Park, including Norbert Dentressangle which took circa 140,000 sq ft in the final quarter of 2010.

Melissa Wase-Rogers from Jones Lang LaSalle's industrial team says the success of Emperor Point reflects the draw of Staffordshire as a prime spot for logistics and distribution companies.

"Big sheds have seen a lift in activity during 2011, particularly the prime distribution facilities, located within key distribution locations.  Emperor Point is one of such facilities, as it is ideally placed to access the Midlands and National motorway network and also, the M6 Toll Road."

Home and Retail Deliveries Ltd specialises in distribution solutions for the UK's leading manufacturers and retailers of furniture and as Stuart Franks, development manager from Coltham Developments says, "The company provides a time sensitive operation and so location is a top priority for a business basing its reputation on delivering when promised to consumers, on behalf of its clients. We are delighted to have secured them at Emperor Point".

Coltham Developments is a privately owned commercial property development and investment company operating throughout the UK.
