Coca-Cola confirms £5.8m deal with Birmingham Van Centre

Volkswagen Van Centre Birmingham has secured a £5.8m fleet deal with one of the world's largest independent Coca-Cola bottlers.

Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd, which manufactures and sells over four billion bottles and cans in Great Britain every year, purchased a 233-strong fleet of Volkswagen Transporters and Caddy Maxi vans.

The fleet will be used by the company's 250 engineers who install and maintain drink dispensers and vending machines across the country. Each vehicle has been fitted with adaptable racking and shelving systems by conversion specialists, Bott Ltd.

Tom Sayer, fleet manager at Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd, said: "Our aim was to acquire a fleet with a strong all-around performance and good residual value. The Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle range met those needs and stood out as an excellent investment."

The deal was managed by HVF Limited, part of Lex Autolease, which highlighted reliable performance and versatility as reasons for using Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

Volkswagen Van Centre Birmingham's efficient and professional service was also recognised by David Gilbert, corporate relationship manager at HVF Limited.

He said: "The Birmingham team provide an excellent service and this certainly contributed to a smooth fleet transition."

Tony Worrall, sales manager at Volkswagen Van Centre Birmingham, said: "Our aim is to provide quality vehicles and service, so we are delighted to have satisfied Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd and HVF Limited. We hope to strengthen these relationships in the future."
