Leading Midlands law firm Cartwright King has moved its
Birmingham office to larger premises in the prestigious McLaren
Building on the Priory Queensway. The West Midlands practice opened
on Temple Row in 2009 and the firm also has offices in Nottingham,
Leicester, Derby, Sheffield and Newcastle.
Cartwright King specialises in business and criminal defence and
professional discipline and is top ranked nationally by the Legal
500 and Chambers Directory. Within a year the Birmingham office
achieved a debut ranking in the Legal 500.
In 2010 the firm significantly strengthened its national
business defence practice by attracting two new teams of specialist
lawyers. David Roy, rated by Legal 500 as Birmingham's "go to"
fraud lawyer, joined as a director from Birmingham firm Jonas Roy
Bloom with his team. At the same time Fiona Warman, one of
Birmingham's best known and respected heavyweight criminal and
fraud lawyers joined as director bringing with her a full team of
lawyers from local firm Williamson and Soden.
Cartwright King has experienced significant recent growth and
now has more than 100 professional staff, making it one of the UK's
largest firms in its field. David Roy, the Birmingham resident
director said: "We have been focusing on establishing the very best
team of lawyers in the West Midlands who specialise in those areas
of law where we already have nationally acknowledged strengths and
expertise - business and criminal defence and professional
discipline. This strategy has enabled us to achieve
significant growth, requiring us to move to larger offices on the
Priory Queensway."
