Attendees at a series of workshops held in Shrewsbury this week
explored the value of their company's brand and personality.
The workshops were held jointly by design, digital and marketing
agency Clear and business consultants The Business Company.
Attendees uncovered what brand really means, where it comes from
and how it should relate to the culture and personality of your
organisation - as well as where it can go wrong.
Glyn Davies, Creative Director of Clear said: "The value of a
recognised, trusted and respected brand is immeasurable. At a time
when it's harder than ever to persuade people to buy, your brand
becomes more powerful than ever. As a design agency, we are
frequently approached by people looking for a new logo. However
branding starts from within, so we work with them to get underneath
the skin of the company, understand what makes it tick and where it
is heading to create an accurate external reflection of the
business."
Ellen Morley, Principal at The Business Company said: "Brand is
not only about design and great visuals - it is about business. At
the heart of any brand is the personality of the business and this
should be integral with every aspect of a business that interfaces
with the public. The value of that 'personality' is what dictates
the success or failure of the business. From the vision and
mission, through the efficiency of the systems and processes to the
attitude of your people and consistency of service you offer, your
brand translates directly into the customer experience and
ultimately 'people buy from people' so they need to fully reflect
your brand and business ethos."
Clear and The Business Company are Shrewsbury-based businesses
