Nottingham-based, Banbury Innovations Ltd, which specialises in
innovative building products, has been awarded in excess of
£250,000 worth of high-profile contracts to install its new
sustainable, lightweight insulating system throughout the
UK.
The company secured the contracts with house builders, Barratt
Homes on a site in Swindon and Persimmon Homes in Chichester, as
well as high-street retailer, Primark in Kings Lynn.
Banbury Innovation's managing director, John Banbury puts the
contract awards down to the support and funding from the
Sustainable Construction iNet (iNet). The iNet assisted Banbury
Innovations in 2010 with funding and innovation support worth
£4,200 to develop and bring the product into the sustainable
product market place.
John commented: "This product is now the 'jewel in the crown'
for Banbury Innovations and our new contracts prove that we have a
system which is much in demand within the construction industry.
The assistance from the iNet helped the company bring the
development of the product to fulfilment and also gave us
confidence for our future."
Barrie Billinghay, iNet business advisor, added: "I was
convinced that John and his team had a great product from the start
and we are so pleased that they have been awarded national and
international, high-profile contracts. Through the support of the
iNet, Banbury Innovations has been able to employ two new sales and
administration staff and add another five members to its production
team. This outcome is exactly what the iNet aims to achieve for its
clients; new contracts, job creation and growth for East Midlands
businesses. "
The iNet is funded by East Midlands Development Agency (emda)
and the European Regional Development Fund(ERDF) and based at its
new headquarters, the iCon building in Daventry, a purpose-built
business hub providing office space for start-up companies working
in the sustainable construction sector. Interested parties should
