Alliance 4 the Black Country & Future Alliance held its
Annual Big Black Country Quiz night on Thursday 30th June at the
Lamp Tavern Pub in Dudley.
The aim of the night was to raise money for the Alliance charity
of the year; The Prince's Trust, have some fun and see who really
does have a super quiz brain.
The quiz tested the teams' knowledge on a variety of topics,
including a round dedicated to Black Country trivia. The 60 guests,
broken into teams of four thoroughly tested their knowledge whilst
helping themselves to a traditional Black Country feast of roast
pork sandwiches, roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings as well as
enjoying a Pint of famous Batham's beer!
Johnathan Dudley, Chairman of Alliance 4 the Black Country said
"The quiz is always an enjoyable event and a great opportunity to
support The Princes Trust and compete against your peers to become
the ultimate quiz champion!"
Mike Priddy, Vice Chairman of Alliance 4 the Black Country said
"A fiendish set of questions was expertly compiled by Gemma Butler
and delivered to the massed audience by our quizmaster for the
night, Mark Hayward. The competition was fierce and only three
points stood between the winners and third place. The top three
teams of the evening were:
I'm Spartacus from George Green LLP - 1st Place
The George Green Dream Team - 2nd Place
Three Men and a Lady from Talbots - 3rd Place
We would like to thank everyone who attended the quiz and here's
to another successful event next year!"
