A Midland law firm has boosted its real estate team.
Leamington lawyers Wright Hassall have appointed Eleanor Deady,
formerly of Cobbetts' Birmingham office, as a partner in the
commercial property department.
Ms Deady, originally from Northampton, qualified as a lawyer
after reading law at King's College in London and had been a
partner at Pinsents (now Pinsent Masons) before joining Cobbetts in
2003.
Ms Deady brings a host of leadership qualities and experience to
the role and she said the opportunity to work as part of a
tight-knit team attracted her to the Leamington firm.
She said: "The advantages of being part of a cross-discipline
team all based in one office location are significant and I am
delighted to have joined Nick Abell and his team."
Experienced in managing and handling all real estate matters, Ms
Deady's particular expertise rests in the project management, legal
structuring, funding and contractual delivery of regeneration and
development schemes, acting for both private and public
sectors.
Ms Deady recently secured signed documentation on a mixed use
regeneration scheme in the south with a value of over
£50million and believes that the present imbalance between
supply and demand will force activity in the Midlands over the next
few years.
"While new build may not be a major source of supply in the next
two years, I believe we will see supply increasing with more sale
and lease backs, more institutionally funded projects and more
joint ventures in some shape or form between public and private
sectors," she added.
Ms Deady also led the legal team acting in the acquisition,
forward funding, pre-let and investment disposal of the delivery of
the new Travelodge which is now under construction at Birmingham
International Airport.
