Warwickshire calls in the CP Bigwood professionals

CP Bigwood's property management division has enjoyed a string of new wins in Warwickshire in and around Stratford-upon-Avon.

And in a number of cases it is the residents who have stood down from doing the job, deciding to call in the professionals.

The property management department has been appointed managing agents on five sites, increasing its already significant portfolio.

A prestige appointment for CP Bigwood is Goldicote Hall on Banbury Road, Stratford.

Peter Jordan, CP Bigwood's head of property management in Warwickshire, said: "Goldicote Hall is a glorious manor house which has been converted to elegant apartments.

"In the 20 acres of grounds, a few select properties have been built which complement the original building. The grounds are a mixture of formal gardens which are currently being restored, and parkland. The site is approximately two miles from the town centre. At present there are 11 apartments and nine houses."

The Ridgeway is a small development of three apartments and a total of six houses on the edge of Stratford. They were built by Miller Homes and are within a larger estate of new units constructed by several developers where public open space is a key feature.

In three more contracts CP Bigwood has taken over from the residents who had previously managed the properties themselves.

Ettington Grange on Banbury Road, Ettington, is a small development of six apartments in a converted Warwickshire vicarage. It is on the outskirts of the village and the setting is idyllic, backing onto open countryside.

Nos. 16/17 Warwick Road, Stratford, is a recent development converted from two fine town houses just a few minutes' walk from the town centre.

It is unusual for the area in that it has within the conversion a swimming pool and leisure club for the exclusive use of the residents.

The development has 11 flats in the converted houses and in addition two houses have been built on the site.

"It too is a very prestigious appointment for CP Bigwood," said Mr Jordan.

Beaudesert Park is a renovated regency style property in a semi-rural location on the outskirts of Henley-in-Arden.

It is on an elevated site and contains six apartments. The grounds, while not extensive, adjoin open land and fields and are not too far distant from Henley Golf Club.

"We won this in competition," said Mr Jordan. "The residents appointed CP Bigwood due to our local presence and reputation. We are very pleased to have attracted so much new work.

"Property management is what we do and it is always advisable to have someone in place with experience of the issues which can arise rather than adopting a DIY approach."
