EIC, the national building services provider, has secured three
new contracts for its Midlands-based engineering teams which,
combined, will be worth in excess of £5.5m. The three
mechanical and installation projects are all being managed from the
company's Alcester headquarters and sees the firm working with some
of the UK 's biggest main contractors.
The mechanical and electrical specialist has commenced a
£3.3m contract for international medical equipment experts
Stryker, to deliver the full service installation for their new
build office and storage facility at Newbury. The scheme, designed
by ESA Architects and delivered in conjunction with main contractor
VolkerFitzpatrick, is set to complete this summer.
EIC engineers are also on site providing the £1.1m
mechanical and electrical installation requirements of the new
build Hodge Hill Primary Care Centre in Birmingham on behalf of NHS
Birmingham East and North, and its partners Birmingham and Solihull
(BaS) Lift Co and Prime Plc. Appointed by Kier Moss, which is
heading construction of the three-storey, 2,742m2 facility, EIC is
responsible for the lighting, heating and ventilation, fire alarm,
CCTV, public address system and other related services. Due to
infection control considerations, all products and services will be
HTM compliant.
Finally, the £1.1m contract for M&E installation at
the new Wolverhampton Interchange has also been started by EIC. The
construction of the new bus and train station is being undertaken
by BAM construction, with whom EIC has a longstanding relationship,
and will see engineers working closely with construction teams to
ensure the successful completion of this much anticipated project
for Wolverhampton City Council and Neptune Developments.
Ian Lyall, joint managing director of EIC, said these three
latest contracts demonstrate the breadth and depth of expertise
within the company. He said: "We are fortunate to have an extremely
skilled and experienced team of engineers and project managers who
have a track record in working with clients across all sectors.
This puts us in a good position when it comes to tendering for new
contracts as we can demonstrate strength and successful delivery of
prior projects. We are pleased to have secured these three recent
appointments by the Alcester team, and look forward to their
successful delivery over the coming months."
With its national headquarters in Warwickshire, EIC now has a
network of 13 regional offices across the UK - from Cornwall to
Scotland - enabling the firm to meet the needs of both local and
national customers, wherever they are located.
With almost 40 year's experience in mechanical and electrical
installation, EIC has delivered schemes for clients in retail,
leisure, commercial office, industrial, education and healthcare
organisations. In addition, the company offers a national provision
of engineered facilities management services for clients in similar
industries.
