A team of Midlands-based legal experts is hosting a free
workshop for those seeking information about long-term care.
Wright Future is a specialist department of Leamington law firm
Wright Hassall that works with people both retired and nearing
retirement, and their families, to prepare for potential incapacity
as well as organising the affairs of elderly relatives.
With a number of issues surrounding private care homes being
prevalent in the news at the moment, the firm is keen to engage
with people concerned about planning for their future and
particularly those that may encounter the need for long-term
care.
A number of speakers will be on hand to offer advice on how best
to approach such situations from a legal perspective as well as
minimising costs.
Claire McGinnity heads up the Wright Future team and believes
this seminar - which takes place at the firm's Leamington office in
Olympus Avenue at 4.30pm on Wednesday, July 13 - could be useful to
a wide range of people.
She said: "If you require long-term care at some point in the
future you could end up using your hard earned wealth to pay for
your care home fees, with little being left to pass on in the way
of inheritance.
"Our team can help you put your affairs in order and relieve
some of the worry about long term care by illustrating how your
assets are dealt with and your options in structuring your affairs
to secure your future and your family's future.
"The idea behind this seminar is to explain the current rules
governing the funding of long-term care, distinguish between the
facts and the myths and enable people to make informed choices and
plan ahead to secure their future as well as those of their
family.
"Unfortunately, this is becoming an area that many people will
have to deal with at some point so it is important that people have
all the information they need to make an informed decision."
