A Telford IT company is to host two more 'Lunch n Learn' events
following the hugely successful launch of the teaching
workshops.
Chris Pallett, the Shropshire chairman of the Chartered
Institute of IT who runs Bespoke Computing in Telford, is working
with the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce to provide a number of
workshops for businesses.
They are taking place throughout the first half of 2011 and the
next session is on Server Technology and will be held on June 29,
2011, between 12pm and 2pm at the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce
offices in Stafford Park, Telford.
A repeat of the Technology Planning workshop held in January
will take place on June 30 at the same time and place due to
demand.
Mr Pallett said: "Server technology can be one of the biggest IT
investments your business will make. At the same time they are very
often the most undervalued and least understood piece of IT
equipment in your offices.
"Does your business need a server and what efficiencies could it
bring? If your business already has servers, have they been
setup properly and are you getting the most bottom line value from
them?"
Businesses will benefit from a repeat of the January Technology
workshop as it will be looking at using technology to increase
profits.
"In the last 15 years the use of IT has exploded, technology has
changed how we do business. Many businesses are still only reacting
to technology, but what if technology could make your business more
efficient and increase its profitability," Mr Pallett added.
The price to attend each course is just £25 plus VAT and
includes a working lunch; places are limited to 15
people.
