Show homes in Birmingham provide investors with an innovative opportunity

Leading housebuilder Barratt West Midlands is offering investors the chance to receive a seven percent return on their investment through an innovative initiative to sell show homes at its developments to buy-to-let investors.

Under the scheme buyers have the opportunity to buy a show home at the company's developments and then immediately lease it back to Barratt for up to five years.

And the company currently has two properties in Birmingham that are available under the scheme at The Crescent on The Shardway, Shard End, including the three bedroom Hawthorne-style show home, which is available for £174,500 and offers potential investors a monthly return of £1,017.

"We're delighted to be able to offer the area's investors such excellent rates of return for investments in our show homes" comments Lisa Thacker, Sales Manager for Barratt West Midlands.

"Since we unveiled our show home sale and leaseback scheme in January we've had a great deal of interest from investors - and it's easy to see why.

"Rather than have to worry about untidy tenants, the investor knows that we will maintain the property in pristine condition. And Barratt is also the only major housebuilder that guarantees internal fixtures and fittings for a full five years."

The five-year fixtures and fittings guarantee is in addition to the existing ten-year NHBC warranty on the structure of new homes and remains valid even if the home is sold on to a new owner.

"Investors really do have peace of mind with this innovative offer" continued Lisa. "We expect high demand for this product and have set-up a new section of our website at www.barratthomes.co.uk/showhome to provide full details to interested investors."

Barratt West Midlands is currently offering investment opportunities under the company's show home sale and leaseback scheme for properties priced from £163,750 to £303,000 across the company's West Midlands developments.

Barratt West Midlands has been confirmed as meriting the maximum five star official rating from the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for the second year in a row. The news was announced after more than 20,000 new home buyers across the country took part in this year's HBF customer satisfaction survey.
