A rare residential barn conversion has been secured by Berrys in
Northamptonshire.
Planners at Kettering-based Berrys are delighted to have
recently secured full planning permission for the change of use of
a traditional barn in East Northamptonshire to an unrestricted
residential use.
Berrys' senior planning consultant Paul Johnson co-ordinated the
application and appointed a local architecture firm who produced
some very high quality plans to accompany the
application.
Paul said: "This is a fantastic scheme that we are very proud to
have been instructed to co-ordinate and work on.
"Despite being in the open countryside where there is a
presumption against new housing and residential barn conversions,
we at Berry put together a very rigorous justification covering
both planning policy and the material circumstances of the site and
the application was approved within the eight-week period by the
Council under delegated powers."
Berrys will be marketing the sale of the barn at Chelveston in
East Northamptonshire in due course.
Berrys offer a full range of urban and rural planning services,
including barn conversions, housing sites, development plots,
equine development, Listed Building Consents, farm diversification
projects and all forms of agricultural development.
