PTS staff become spares experts

Building on the continued success of its employee training academy, PTS has introduced a specialist spares course designed to equip staff with the knowledge they need to offer exceptional customer service.

Since launching in 2008, the PTS training academy has motivated staff to provide a customer focused service through a range of online modules. The academy has played a key part in supporting the careers and personal development of employees as well as making sure installers have the best experience possible when visiting any PTS branch.

With its 200th spares counter opening this year and a successful spares express delivery service offered in various UK locations, this latest online training module focuses on developing product knowledge and technical expertise across 1,200 stocked spares.

Martyn Farrelly, Operations Director for PTS said:

"The PTS training academy gives staff the chance to access training courses at a time to suit them. Our employees are always keen to learn more about the ranges we stock so that they can better assist customers on the shop floor.

"The new spares module aims to promote a wider understanding of the thousands of products on offer through our spares service. Having well trained staff will help customers to make an informed decision on which spares they need, making the whole trade counter experience much more efficient and enjoyable for the customer."
