Make your Will in the click of a mouse with Burton & Dyson

People can now create their own instant Wills online thanks to an innovative new service from Lincolnshire-based solicitors practice Burton & Dyson.

The law firm, which is based in Gainsborough, officially launched its new Wills Online offering during an open day event at Costa Coffee, in Marshall's Yard, Gainsborough, when visitors could drop in to try out the new service and make a routine Will free of charge. They were also invited to make a voluntary donation to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Wills Online is designed to make the Will-creating process as accessible and straightforward as possible. Although the process takes just a matter of minutes, the resulting document is a legally valid Will setting out the writer's wishes on how their estate should be distributed when they are no longer here.

Senior partner Philip Westcott explained: "We know that a lot of people put off making their Will, either because they are too busy or because they do not like to think about what will happen when they die.

"We believe that all adults, especially those with a property or children, should have a Will, which is why we've launched this new service to make it as easy as possible.

"Our new Wills Online service not only allows people to create their Will without having to take time out of their busy schedules to visit our offices, it also enables them to do it instantly, there and then.

"Making a Will is one of the most important things you will ever do, so we hope people will take advantage of this new opportunity to ensure their final wishes are carried out when they are no longer here."

The launch event itself was a success, with considerable interest in the new system. The firm also had a few visitors whose requirements were too complex for Wills Online, but whom Burton & Dyson was still able to assist. Leaflets were also handed out on the day, resulting in further enquiries in the following days.
