Employees at Ludlow's leading provider of medical reporting,
Premier Medical Group, have raised thousands of pounds for a
life-saving Charity.
For the past 12 months, the 180 employees have been running,
baking and dancing in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance and it can now
be revealed that their efforts have raised an impressive
£4494.
It was decided that Midlands Air Ambulance Charity would be
Premier Medical's Charity of Choice for 2010/2011 after a staff
vote at the company's office on Ludlow's Ecobusiness Park.
Vicky Radmore, Charity Co-Ordinator at Premier Medical says:
"Midlands Air Ambulance Charity was chosen by the staff as we all
work in a rural area and understand how vital this service can be
in an emergency. Discovering it was a Charity meant that we all
felt we had to raise some money to help keep the helicopters
flying."
The money raised by Premier Medical will directly fund
potentially life-saving missions across the region. On average
every mission that Midlands Air Ambulance responds to costs the
Charity £2500.
"Employees at Premier Medical Group have a put a tremendous
amount of effort into supporting the Charity for which we are
extremely grateful." Says Stef Langford-Brown, Corporate
Fundraising Manager at Midlands Air Ambulance.
"Donations from local businesses are a vital source of income
for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. We receive no government
funding so this type of fundraising really does have a direct and
very real impact on our ability to save lives across the
Midlands."
