Liz Hobbs Group sets up Tesco concert tickets deal

A new initiative to help make gigs more affordable to Tesco customers this summer has been set up by Newark based event and concert production company, Liz Hobbs Group Ltd.

Tesco is now selling cut-price tickets for 23 open-air music concerts at a number of Jockey Club Racecourses across the UK, through its Tesco Entertainment website.

The ticket prices also include an evening at the races, giving customers great value for money and a double helping of entertainment.

Liz Hobbs Group is producing more than 29 concerts at 10 Jockey Club racecourses over an 85 day period this summer, with artists including Tom Jones, Alexandra Burke, Beach Boys, Scissor Sisters and Blondie.

Liz Doogan-Hobbs MBE, CEO of Liz Hobbs Group said: "The whole concept of music at the races is that we're adding value. For the price of a ticket to the races, people can enjoy a few hours of racing, followed by a fantastic open-air show.

"Tesco recognised that these events are great value for money, so we're absolutely delighted that they are now offering their customers the opportunity to see top artists and bands perform at some of the most prestigious racecourses across the UK."

Rob Salter, Tesco's Entertainment Director said: "We know our customers are increasingly keen to experience live music and we wanted to meet this growing trend, by providing a ticket offer that would deliver great value and a reliable service.

"Tickets to see music at the races are a perfect summertime treat to enjoy with friends or family, at an affordable price. What's key when money is so tight is that customers don't need to worry about unexpected additional ticket costs when they buy from our entertainment website."

Ticket prices start at £12 and customers will earn double Clubcard points on all purchases. The benefit of buying through Tesco Entertainment is that there are no booking fees or credit card charges and delivery of tickets is free.

Even the most expensive tickets will be capped at just £33, making the gigs more affordable to Tesco customers.

Jockey Club Racecourse concert tickets are also available via the racecourse websites and mainstream online ticket agencies.
