Leicester-based legal executive Dawn Slow received royal
recognition for her charity and work with ILEX, when she was
invited to the Queen's Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.
Dawn is a member of the Personal Injury team at Leicester law
firm Harvey Ingram and a specialist in head injury claims. She is
also a trustee of the Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland
branch of brain injury charity Headway, secretary of the Child
Brain Injury Trust LLR Family Support Group and a council member of
legal training body ILEX.
Dawn says: "I was very flattered and more than a little
surprised to be invited. It's something of a lifelong ambition to
get a first-hand look at the gardens of Buckingham Palace and
likely to be one of the most memorable days of my life.
"It's also a real honour to be representing the campaigning work
of Headway, CBIT and ILEX at the event. I hope I can help raise the
profile of all three organisations in some way."
Dawn is among more than 100 specially invited guests attending
the Garden Party. The event will see the Queen and the Duke of
Edinburgh meet scores of other volunteers, carers and public
servants from across the UK.
