Black Country solicitors, George Green LLP, have announced that
Paul Bennett is to become their Senior Partner. Mr Bennett is the
firm's current Head of Corporate and is the President of the Dudley
Chamber of Commerce and Vice President of the Black Country Chamber
of Commerce. He succeeds Richard Cliff in the Senior Partner role,
who will remain with the practice as a Corporate Partner.
Commenting on the changes, Mr Bennett said, "I am delighted to
be taking on this role. Richard has undertaken the role with
boundless enthusiasm, for which we are all very grateful, and I
very much look forward to continuing our progress. The legal
profession is undertaking significant structural change at a time
of economic uncertainty, but as the firm has a distinctive and
strong offering in key markets, we feel considerable optimism for
the future as we look to build on our core strengths and further
develop our refreshingly different offering."
"In recent years the firm has enjoyed an enviable reputation as
a market leader for its corporate finance services and we
anticipate growth and development of a number of our existing
teams," added Mr Bennett. "For example, Guy Green, as our new
Head of Corporate, will be spearheading the enhancement of our
dedicated service to larger corporates," Mr Bennett
concluded.
Mr Bennett has spent his entire 16 year legal career with George
Green LLP having joined the firm as a trainee solicitor. Richard
Cliff remarked, "Over the years, Paul has established himself not
only as a leading lawyer, but as a respected figure among the wider
business community, colleagues and clients alike. His contribution
has been instrumental in the success of the Corporate team and
wider practice and I am confident that the firm will go from
strength to strength with this appointment."
The changes will be effective from 1 July.
