Acquisition minded law firm Harris Cooper Brownings is shrinking
its name before it becomes too much of a 'tongue twister'.
Mike Gahan, managing partner of the firm with branches in
Stratford upon Avon, Redditch, Solihull, Alcester and Harborne,
says that as the business expands its ever-growing list of
acquisitions of firms throughout the Midlands, the name is becoming
too complicated.
In the past 30 months HCB Solicitors has grown into a
multi-partner practice with a staff of over 60 at six offices
throughout the West Midlands, and has plans to expand further.
"In future we will better known as HCB Solicitors with the name
or location of the acquired company added", said Mike.
The decision to rationalise the name of the company comes after
the acquisition of Sharrotts Solicitors in Lichfield. That part of
the practice will in future be known as HCB Solicitors-
Sharrotts.
Sharrotts is a long established practice in Dam Street,
Lichfield, which has two partners and a team of experts in a large
range of legal issues.
Mike Gahan said: "Sharrotts fits our portfolio well. We now have
offices throughout the Midlands which offer teams of city-trained
lawyers specialising in commercial law as well as family and civil
matters.
"Our aim is to be able to deal with all legal matters through
our experts but at costs that do not reflect big city
fees".
