Business bosses are being urged to make sure they know their responsibilities or risk being on the wrong side of the law.

CWT Chamber Training is running a course to ensure that company directors understand their legal duties following a host of European directives and a changes to legislation.

The one-day course is taking place on June 21 and will equip company directors with the knowledge they need to make them up-to-date with their duties and liabilities.

Louise Bennett, chief executive of the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, said: "There is no doubting that there is ever growing complexity to running a business - something we continue to push the Government on hard.

"But we cannot get away from the current legislation and it is better for business people to know exactly what their responsibilities are so they don't end up in hot water."

The course costs £280 + VAT, with a £40 discount for Chamber members.
