Robinsons Solicitors has strengthened its private client team with the appointment of Julie Cook.

Julie has been recruited as solicitor at the firm's Ilkeston office and will be responsible for wills, probate, trusts and tax planning.

Julie qualified in 2004 and has worked at leading legal firms across the Midlands. She has varied experience in private client work including taking complex variation of trust applications to the High Court and advising clients about offshore tax planning.

However, prior to joining Robinsons, Julie had taken a break from law to work for a charitable organisation which sent health and education workers to African nations. In her spare time, Julie is a member of a local amateur dramatics organisation, where she assists front of house, backstage and with set design. She also exercises regularly taking part in circuit training and spinning classes - something that will be of particular interest to Robinsons fundraising team which is taking part in the Wiggle Rut, a 74 mile cycling challenge, in aid of The Ben Parker Trust.

Speaking about her new position, Julie said that she is delighted to have joined Robinsons and is looking forward to working with the company's experienced private client team. "Robinsons Solicitors has an excellent reputation and I was keen to join the firm because of their commitment to their clients, staff and the wider community."

"I'm now looking forward to working closely with Sarah Nash and Nikki Spencer to broaden my experience, build up a client base and get involved with the firm and its culture."

Sarah Nash, principal at Robinsons Solicitors and head of the private client department added: "We are delighted to welcome Julie to Robinsons."

"She has an excellent track record in private client work and is a strong addition to the department. We are confident that she will offer our clients the very best advice and support."
