Innes England has completed the letting of premises on Babington Lane to retailer and importer of genuine Thai products - Made in Thailand.

Made in Thailand imports a range of products including wood carvings, art, ceramics, fashion and fabrics and retails them from the new Babington Lane shop, through its online store and from frequent attendance at Chesterfield and Loughborough markets.

Bunlert Saengkrachang from Made in Thailand said: "I chose Babington Lane firstly for the amount of space it offers. There are three floors which gives me plenty of scope to expand my company. At the moment we are just a shop but I plan to move into wholesale sales and the unit gives me the space to do this.

"Secondly, I felt the rent was reasonable for the area and size and, finally, the location is good as it is near the centre and there is an international mix of people passing by.  Parking is also not a problem for our customers.  Overall, I'm very happy with the premises."

Innes England acted on behalf of the landlord, SLL Properties Ltd, to agree a new five-year lease. Tim Richardson from Innes England said: "We are delighted that Made in Thailand has chosen to acquire these premises. The shop complements the other retail offering in the area and will generate further activity along the street."

Babington Lane is home to a number of good quality retailers and offers a central location off the main retail thoroughfare of St. Peter's Street within easy access of both Westfield and the new inner ring road at the junction of Mercian Way and Lara Croft Way, with ample parking nearby.

The premises are situated within a parade of shops which is home to other high quality retailers including John Barclay Shoes, Jillian Hart ladies wear, Hunters Furniture and Pronuptia.

Arranged over three floors and totaling some 3,052 sq ft, the property comprises ground floor sales, basement storage and a first floor level with potential for a further sales area.
