weekend
A Stafford health and fitness club is set to celebrate its 2nd
anniversary by holding an open weekend to raise funds for
charity.
Gym and Tonic, based on the Newport Road, first opened on July 4
2009 and to celebrate the milestone an open weekend is taking place
between Friday July 1 and Monday July 4.
People looking to get fit and healthy will be able to come along
during those days to try out Gym and Tonic's excellent
facilities.
Access to the gym with its resistance and cardio vascular
equipment will be free as well as use of the sauna room.
However, visitors will be asked if they will make a minimum of a
£1 donation with all funds going to Stafford based Katharine
House Hospice.
If people join Gym and Tonic during the four day open weekend
they can secure a year's membership for an incredible £199.
On top of this they will receive a bottle of bubbly, T-shirt, a
further month free and half hour of free beauty
treatment.
Bill Jaber, owner of Gym and Tonic, has more than 20 years of
experience in the health and fitness industry.
He said the 2nd anniversary open weekend was an opportunity for
people to come along and see what the gym had to offer as well as
raise money for such a worthwhile charity as Katharine House
Hospice.
He said: "This is our 2nd anniversary and I wanted to do
something to celebrate the event. What better way to do that than
to invite people to come in and see what we have to offer and raise
money for charity in the process.
"We have around 1200 members at the moment but we are looking
for more people to sign up to our excellent facilities and get fit
and healthy.
"Gym and Tonic has proved to be so successful because we cater
for the needs of our members and keep our rates low. We believe we
are the most cost effective gym in the area and members enjoy
working out in comfortable surroundings with good quality
equipment.
"We pride ourselves in offering a personal service and each
member has the opportunity to have a personal programme which we
update every six to eight weeks free of charge.
"We have instructors who have years of experience in the health
and fitness industry and can offer expert advice so members can get
the very best out of their membership.
"We are urging people to come along during the open
weekend and see what we have to offer and at the same time raise
money for charity."
As well as a mixed gym which includes cardio vascular equipment
and resistance equipment Gym and Tonic also boasts a ladies only
gym, sauna room and a room which hosts a variety of keep fit
classes.
Membership at Gym and Tonic can work out as little as £18
per month.
