BTG Tax is continuing to recruit leading tax advisers to support
the firm's expansion plans.
Gareth Short is the latest to join BTG Tax as a partner and his
appointment follows the arrival earlier this year of international
tax expert Kari Campbell.
John Hodgson, managing partner of BTG Tax in Birmingham, said:
"Gareth specialises in offshore tax planning for non UK
domiciliaries and has extensive experience of tax structuring for
major sports clubs, sportsmen and women, entertainers
and high net worth individuals.
"The appointment of Gareth Short is another step along the road
in our plans to provide an ever-growing experience and skill to our
clients both in the UK and abroad.
"Historically, this practice has extensive experience in the
sports and entertainment field so Gareth is a very welcome addition
to our team."
Gareth Short trained with the Inland Revenue, now Her Majesty's
Revenue & Customs, and furthered his career in the private
sector, choosing to specialise in targeted tax advice to a
particular market sector.
Gareth Short said: "BTG Tax was a natural choice for me as the
next step in my career, I am looking forward to helping John and
his colleagues continue the growth of the UK's leading independent
tax consultancy."
Married with four children, Gareth lives in Stratford-upon-Avon,
and is, a keen follower of all sports and regular badminton
player.
