Fantastically Fruity

An events co-ordinator with one of Birmingham's largest legal firms, in partnership with her husband, is pulling out the stops to become one of the Midlands leading chocolate fountain and fruit palm tree hire businesses.

Despite working as a full time event co-ordinator at Wragge & Co, Tania Morris together with her husband Eddy, are now approaching their second year of running Worcester based Fantastic Chocolate Fountains. The business caters for any type of event from weddings to product launches and provides mouth watering chocolate fountains as well as edible fresh fruit palm trees, ice sculptures and candy buffets across the whole of the West Midlands.

The business has taken the edge by providing personalised chocolate fountain toppers, one of only a handful of companies in the UK to do this, together with offering a free crystal clear ice sculpture with every fountain booked. They also provide party packages which provide a great saving over individual prices and suits all tastes.

Tania says: "I wanted our chocolate fountains to look as amazing as they taste and to offer a personalised and unique display for every event. We have created some fantastic surrounds for our fountains and together with our fountain toppers, they really do stand out from the crowd. Some of the toppers we have created have included a glass thistle for a Scottish Wedding, a football scarf for an avid fan, a palm tree for a Caribbean evening and even a teddy bear for a christening."

Fantastic Chocolate Fountains has continued to reinvest and has added edible fresh fruit palm trees and candy buffets to their services. The edible palms start at 1ft tall up to an impressive 5.5ft, which holds up to 900 individual bite sized chunks of fruit.

Tania continues: "Having started to provide chocolate fountains to the Asian community, we noticed that there was a definite demand for businesses that also offer fresh fruit displays, so this was the next direction we took. The fruit palm trees always cause a stir as they are freshly prepared on the day of an event and there are still so many people who haven't seen one before. Added to the fact that you can actually stand under our largest one, they have become a real novelty and are now almost as popular as the fountains."

Tania adds: "To be able to use my experience in events organizing and marketing and then applying it to my own business is so satisfying. The buzz you get from starting a business from scratch and then watching it grow is tremendous. It's extremely hard work, but every time you make someone happy at a wedding or a party really does make the effort all worthwhile. As the majority of our bookings are weddings, we really do go that little bit further to make it perfect, from butterflies to orchids, we'll do our utmost to make our service a truly personal one."

As for the future, Tania says, "It would be nice to take a holiday. After all, we set up the business just to provide us with a holiday fund. The irony now, is that we're far too busy to take one."
