Leading Black Country law firm have recently joined forces with
Barnett Ravenscroft Wealth Management to present an event with a
difference, looking at the psychology of the deal transactions.
A select group of key clients attended the breakfast seminar,
held at the Copthorne Hotel, Merry Hill. Alongside presentations by
George Green's Paul Bennett, corporate partner and Barnett
Ravenscroft's, Nick Goodwin, delegates heard the views of Jo Haigh,
the principal of Corporate Finance Services. Ms Haigh is a visiting
fellow of Leeds University, has won the IOD business advisor of the
year award and has published a number of best selling business
books.
The discussions centred on why some deals progress relatively
smoothly, while other deals are more troublesome and how
transaction psychology frequently has a bearing on how and whether
a transaction proceeds. The three speakers explored aspects of
transaction psychology from lifestyle planning through to exploring
the emotional dynamics of different transaction scenarios.
