safety message as part of the Bright Day for Brake event
Staff from a Shropshire driver training organisation got into
top gear when they wore bright and colourful clothes for a national
charity event to raise awareness about road safety.
Employees from the TTC Group, who put on driver training courses
for both business and individual motorists, were a shining example
as they took part in a Bright Day for Brake to help educate
children and adults about the importance of being seen and being
safe when walking or cycling by busy roads.
Every day in the UK, six people are killed and 60 seriously
injured as a result of road crashes. The aim of yesterday's
(Friday, June 24th)Bright Day for Brake was also to raise money for
Brake with everyone who took part donating £1 to the national
charity. TTC staff also baked cakes and dishes to exchange for
donations to Brake.
TTC Group General Manager Des Morrison said: "We do have quite a
young and colourful staff but they turned up trumps wearing some
startling outfits and really put their heart and soul into helping
Brake raise money and get over an important road safety
message."
Based at Hadley Park, Telford, the TTC Group runs the National
Driver Offender Retraining Scheme - an educational alternative to
prosecution for some road traffic offences. They also run speed
awareness courses and are the UK's largest provider of courses for
convicted drink drivers. They also teach professional HGV drivers
and company car and van drivers to ensure they comply with
legislation.
Driver Safety Awareness Courses for individual motorists are
also run by TTC Automotive, part of the TTC Group. For more
