The Belmont Hotel in De Montfort Street, Leicester has returned
to its roots for Christmas 2011 with a fabulous 1930s theme running
through its party nights, Christmas lunches and dinners and New
Year's Eve. The hotel has been run by the Bowie family since 1934
and following a 1930s theme seemed fitting, particularly with the
success of films like The King's Speech and costume dramas like
Downton Abbey and Upstairs Downstairs.
For the first time, the hotel has included some video tasters to
get people into the mood - visit

page to find out more!
Operations Manager James Bowie said: "We had enormous fun
bringing our 1930s theme to life, half of De Montfort Street
probably witnessed the classic car arriving in the Spring sunshine
- something a little different for a Monday morning! So much
of the hotel's history dates back to the 1930s era and there are
still family photographs in Jamie's Bar from the period.
We're excited about bringing a little 1930s drama to
Christmas in Leicester 2011."
A glamorous, sophisticated and fun 1930s Christmas awaits at The
Belmont Hotel with party nights from £26.95 per person
starting at the end of November and running throughout December.
There are mouthwatering menus to choose from taking the best of
1930s cuisine and adding a little something from the
noughties!
