A business and finance manager at Nottingham-based Ryley Wealth
Management is celebrating after being named 'Young Achiever of the
Year' by the city's Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
27 year-old Adam Langham received the honour after being
secretly nominated by his colleagues in recognition of his
outstanding efforts and achievements since joining the wealth
management company in 2008.
After making it to a shortlist of three nominees, Adam was
announced as the winner at CII's annual dinner, where a host of
local dignitaries and fellow industry professionals, saw him
presented with a trophy and cheque for £500.
Commenting on Adam's success, David Ryley, owner of Ryley Wealth
Management, said:
"Since joining us as a trainee, Adam has become a highly valued
member of the team, building strong working relationships with both
his clients and colleagues.
"He has taken it upon himself to sit a number of CII
examinations, and despite there being no contractual obligation to
do so, he is dedicated to continuing with his studies for his own
personal professional progression.
"We thought that this level of focus and commitment to the
profession deserved recognition, which is why we chose to enter him
for the award."
Adam added that winning the award was a pleasant surprise:
"I was very flattered to be nominated for such an award, never
mind actually winning it!
"I set out to take my exams in order to develop myself and to
build on the existing expertise of Ryley Wealth Management. I never
thought they would actually play such a big role in winning an
industry award."
