Property consultant Cushman & Wakefield has announced a trio of promotions at its Birmingham office.

The three are Colin Lawrence-Waterhouse, Mike Lewis and Jonathan Aspinall. Mike and Jonathan are members of C&W's asset management team, and both joined the company within six months of each other.

Mike, who joined in March 2009, has been promoted to associate director of risk management, and as such heads up the health and safety team in Birmingham.

Formerly group risk health and safety manager at GVA Grimley, he has considerable experience in risk management.

Asset management colleague Jonathan Aspinall joined C&W in September 2008, and he is responsible for the management for several high profile city centre office and retail properties in Birmingham.

He has been promoted to associate partner.

The third of the promoted trio, Colin Lawrence-Waterhouse, is the longest serving at C & W, having joined the company in 2006. He switched to the newly opened Birmingham office in November 2008, as a surveyor in the industrial agency team.

Colin, whose key clients include SIG Trading Ltd, ProLogis and SEGRO, has been promoted to senior surveyor.

Scott Rutherford, head of C&W's Birmingham office, said the promotions were further evidence of how the company was strengthening its operations in the Midlands.

He said: "When we opened here in 2008 it was our intention to become a force to be reckoned with, and as part of that process we have more than doubled the size of our team since then.

"Additionally, we have also been able to make various key promotions, of which these three are the latest, and all of this is despite the challenges posed by the current economic climate. We look forward to making further progress in the coming months."
