Trio of accolades for CBRE

CB Richard Ellis Group Inc, has been named in the FORTUNE 500 list of the largest U.S.-based companies for the fourth consecutive year.

CBRE, which has an office in Birmingham, is the only commercial real estate services firm ever to be included in the influential listing, which ranks companies by total revenue.

CBRE was placed 440th on the list, up nearly 60 places from last year.

The CBRE brand was recently named number one in commercial real estate by The Lipsey Company. The Lipsey survey measures commercial real estate professionals' perceptions of leading brands. More than 25,000 industry professionals participated in the survey, including property owners, investors, lenders, brokers and property managers.

The firm was also the highest ranking commercial real estates firm on the newly released Global Outsourcing 100. CBRE was placed sixth in the 2011 listing, compiled by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals. The list recognises the world's best service providers, and CBRE achieved its highest position to date.

Martin Guest, managing director of the Birmingham office of CBRE, said: "The FORTUNE 500 listing ranks us as the biggest, the Lipsey and IAOP surveys as the best. In the regional marketplace we can deliver world-class standards coupled with local knowledge and experience."
