Midlands based law firm, Talbots Solicitors, recently handed a
cheque to Breast Cancer Care having arranged a successful Will
donation fund raising event across its offices.
Every November, law firms across the UK participate in National
Make A Will Month and Talbots has supported this particular
campaign for a number of years. As if this was not enough, Talbots
ran a fund raising campaign alongside Will Aid to raise money for
Breast Cancer Care - and last week, Talbots were deligted to hand a
'big' cheque to the charity for nearly £1,300.
Mary Mocklow, Practice Director at Talbots said "Breast cancer
is now the most common cancer among women in the UK. Every week,
over 800 people receive the devastating news that they have breast
cancer. We try and support charities that touch the lives of our
clients and are delighted to have helped in some small way".
Judy Beard, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Breast
Cancer Care said:
"We are delighted that Talbots has supported Breast Cancer Care.
Every contribution makes a difference and funds raised will go
towards ensuring that Breast Cancer Care can continue to offer
vital support to women and men with breast cancer, their families
and friends".
In addition to the £1,300 raised for Breast Cancer Care,
Talbots has presented Will Aid 2010 with over £1,600. Will
Aid 2010 raised over £1.5 million and supports nine charities
including Sightsavers, Christian Aid and the British Red Cross.
Talbots will be supporting the next campaign in November 2011.
