A Shropshire law firm is supporting a county hospice with the
launch of a 'Free Wills' campaign.
Linder Myers LLP, based in High Street, Shrewsbury, has teamed
up with Severn Hospice.
Staff at Shrewsbury Solicitors Linder Myers, were unanimous in
their decision to support the hospices as their chosen charity in
2011.
The Linder Myers Will writing service is available to staff and
supporters of Severn Hospice and their families.
Bill Jarvis said: "We will prepare a basic Will and waive our
charge for providing this service. As Linder Myers is waiving any
fee normally due for the preparation of a basic will we would hope
that people taking up the service would consider donating the money
they have saved to Severn Hospice."
Severn Hospice is an independent charity and two-thirds of its
revenue comes from public fundraising.
The hospices in Shrewsbury and Telford care for people who are
living with complex and progressive illness.
Since opening their doors staff have cared for more than 16,000
patients - more than the entire population of Oswestry - and they
now care for approximately 2,500 patients each year.
Mike Perry, community fundraising advisor for Severn Hospice,
said: 'We are delighted that Linder Myers has chosen Severn Hospice
as their charity of the year.
"It is only through the generosity of companies like Linder
Myers that we are able to provide care and support for the hundreds
of patients from across Shropshire and Mid Wales that need our
help."
