A local firm of leading property specialists is reporting a
strong start to 2011 and predicting the housing market will
continue to recover over the coming year.
Shropshire -based Nock Deighton has handled approximately
£27.4 million worth of deals during the first quarter of the
year, figures the company suggests display a growing confidence
amongst both buyers and sellers across the county.
With sales offices in Telford, Bridgnorth, Ludlow and
Ironbridge, first quarter agreed sales across the firm totalled
£14.5 million, with a further £12.9 million in
completions also taking place.
Michael Evans, Managing Director for Nock Deighton, commented:
"These excellent first quarter sales figures follow-on from
similarly strong results posted at the end of last year, where the
anticipated lull in demand in the run-up to Christmas never
materialised, as we actually recorded some of our busiest months of
the year.
"Time and time again Shropshire bucks national property trends,
and our figures prove that parts of the region remain some of the
UK's most sought-after areas with buyers, not just locally but from
further afield, such as London and the Home Counties."
Formed in 1831, Nock Deighton is one of the Midlands' most
well-established and respected firms of estate agents, lettings
agents, chartered surveyors, block management agents, and
auctioneers. The company stands at the forefront of the modern
property sector by embracing up-to-the-minute technology and
industry best practice, and has a firm focus on achieving the very
best results through a full range of specialist property-related
services and dedicated staff.
