A Resolution accredited specialist in domestic violence and children law for more than 15 years, Jane Davis takes up a three year appointment to the Committee of Resolution's Nottingham branch.

In her new role, Jane, a family law specialist at the Nottingham office of law firm Nelsons, will assist in promoting the branch's activities and organising speakers for its regular training events.

Head of family law services at Nelsons, Jayne Chilvers comments: "Jane is an experienced family lawyer and has a long-established relationship with Resolution. This appointment recognises her expertise and the contribution she can make in her new capacity to improving standards and skills across the profession. We would like to congratulate her on the appointment."

Resolution, which was formerly known as the Solicitors Family Law Association (SFLA), is an organisation of 5700 lawyers who believe in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters. It campaigns for improvements to the family justice system and supports the development of family lawyers through its national and regional training programmes, as well as through its accreditation scheme.  Resolution also trains and accredits mediators and is the only body providing training and support for collaborative lawyers in England and Wales.
