Brand specialist Levells has created a new brand identity and
web presence for HALOsonic automotive noise management solutions
from HARMAN Automotive and Lotus Engineering.
The Birmingham-based company was tasked with communicating the
brand new technology for the 'car of the future' to worldwide car
manufacturers.
Levells worked with HARMAN Automotive to devise the HALOsonic
name - an amalgam of the companies' names and the technology;
create a website with fully integrated film, audio and technical
illustrations; and design branding for use on demonstration
vehicles.
Accessible in English, German and Chinese, the website is
designed to intelligently navigate online visitors from initial
concept through to the environmental and safety benefits of
HALOsonic.
Importantly, Levells had to clearly demonstrate the two separate
elements of the technology; unwanted noise cancellation inside the
car and generation of a desired engine sound inside and/or outside
the car. This was achieved via fully integrated web
illustrations.
Mark Levell, design director of Levells said: "We are delighted
to be involved in communicating the technology of the future from
HARMAN Automotive and Lotus Engineering.
"Our approach was focused around communicating the technology
that engineers would clearly understand, but at the same time not
alienating the media by being too technical.
"With the project ongoing, we're now looking at supporting
HALOsonic as the technology evolves and develops over time.
"We have a long-standing relationship with HARMAN, which spans
more than 15 years. With a clear understanding of the technology
from day one, Levells created the new brand and all the elements to
support the delivery of the technology to key target
audiences."
