A crushing and recycling firm in the Midlands is celebrating after securing two major international deals.

Staffordshire-based Crushers UK, has signed twin deals with new dealers in Sweden and Australia for its renowned City Jaw 1830 machine. It is expected that the two new dealers will sell several of the 24-tonne machines each year.

These latest deals are part of Crushers UK's ongoing strategy, to develop a network of dealers in 40 countries around the globe.

The pioneering British-made unit has been sold to Krossning and Sortering SRC Ltd, in Sweden, to crush granite as part of a wind turbine development, working in temperatures of -20C.

On top of the Swedish deal, Crushers UK has also signed up Chapman Demolition & Recycling Pty Ltd in Brisbane, Australia, where the crusher will be used for general demolition and recycling work.

Design Director for Crushers UK, Greg Shipley, said: "I am very pleased to have secured these deals, as both countries offer enormous potential for sales of the City Jaw 1830."

In the first move of its kind, the machine going to Australia will be flat-packed into a 40ft container before being shipped. At less than 24-tonnes, the City Jaw 1830 can alternatively be transported by road without permits or police escorts anywhere in the world.

The City Jaw 1830 crushes rebar concrete, bricks and granite, as well as operating its own generator to power other equipment. The machine also has the ability to run on bio diesel. Optional extra features for the machine include a magnetic separator for collecting metal and a dust suppression unit.

The City Jaw is also at ease clearing rubble quickly and effectively in areas of the world hit by earthquakes and other natural disasters.

Mr Shipley explained that the economical performance of the City Jaw 1830 was a key deciding factor for the Swedish firm in entering the agreement.

He added: "The Australian firm felt that the City Jaw was ideal for crushing general demolition and recycling materials and they were excited over being offered the first dealership in Australia."

Crushers UK, is based in Fazeley, near Tamworth, Staffordshire.
