Three client wins in the first few weeks of trading - that's the
flying start from a new communications consultancy focusing on the
food, drink and hospitality sectors.
Fleet Street Communications is headed up by managing director
and former Sunday Times journalist Mark Stretton who until recently
was editor of M&C Report, the leading trade title for the pub,
drinks and foodservice industries. Other senior players within the
new consultancy include Steve Dann, the former chief executive of
Seal Communications, Francis Patton, a pub and industry brewing
veteran who was previously commercial director at Punch Taverns and
broadcaster and former ITV1 Central TV presenter Arti Halai.
The consultancy will provide trade and corporate communications
support within the leisure, hospitality and tourism space and has
already signed up three market leading clients - Admiral Taverns,
the UK's biggest independent tenanted pub company, Brulines, a
major provider of intelligent data systems to the leisure and
gaming sectors, and Zolfo Cooper, a leading corporate advisory
company with particular expertise in the leisure sector.
Fleet Street Communications which has offices in London and
Birmingham, aims to capitalise on its unrivalled knowledge of the
hospitality and leisure sectors as well as the team's vast
experience at the front line of delivering PR and communications
programmes.
Mark Stretton, managing director, said: "We are an
insight-led agency delivering compelling campaigns for our clients
in the sector. By bringing together this alliance of experienced
media professionals, award-winning PR consultants and senior
executives from the leisure and hospitality industries, we will
bring a new perspective and fresh thinking to our clients."
"Using our knowledge, know-how and networks we are well placed
to deliver best-in-class PR campaigns and have been really
encouraged by the positive feedback from the industry within just a
few weeks of opening our doors."
