Loughborough-based contractor and developer William Davis Ltd
has completed its latest affordable housing scheme in Rising Brook,
Stafford.
The £3m scheme built across three former Stafford Borough
Council garage sites on Morton Road, St Peter's Close and Hawksmoor
Road, was developed by Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) in
partnership with William Davis and part funded by the Homes and
Communities Agency (HCA).
With project partners on hand to congratulate them, new resident
Maria Zaynoun and her daughters Amira, (1), and Mayssa, (5), were
given 'the key of the door' to their state-of-the-art new house,
one of 31 affordable homes across the developments.
Richard Cornes, partnerships director, William Davis said: "It
is always satisfying to see a project of this nature come to
fruition so successfully and even more satisfying to be on hand to
meet the people who will really benefit from the superb new
homes.
"It is impressive to see how disused garage sites and infill
plots of land can be transformed into a thriving new community
which will eventually become a sustainable, sought after place to
live."
SARH chief executive Karen Armitage, said: "Creating brand new
homes to help young families like Maria's start out in life on a
solid footing is what we have aspired to achieve since SARH began
in 2006 and I'm delighted to welcome her and the other new
customers on Hawksmoor Road into their new homes.
"Our new build housing project is about so much more than bricks
and mortar, it is also about creating homes where families can put
down roots, bring up their children, go to work and build
supportive communities."
Each property is designed to Lifetime Homes Standards and
contains a mechanical ventilation heat recovery system, and gas
saver on each boiler, achieving Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH)
level 3 rating.
