The Anthony Collins Solicitors' FourCubed team have moved on
from the gruelling London Marathon and are now in their final
preparations for the Edinburgh Marathon less than 5 weeks
later.
The four lawyers are delighted to announce that they will be
running the Edinburgh marathon with the support of Nestor
Partnership who have made an extremely generous donation of
£2000. Nestor Partnership are a specialist independent
financial advice firm, created by a group of highly experienced
financial services professionals. They offer a superior independent
financial advice service for individuals, trustees and corporate

The Edinburgh Marathon represents the 6th of 12 runs that the
FourCubed team will take part in within a 12 month period, their
aim being to raise as much money as possible for the charity
Whizz-Kidz. The Team have already completed the Birmingham Half
Marathon, the Gloucester Marathon, a Stratford 10km race, the
Liverpool Half Marathon and most recently the Virgin London
Marathon.
The running team consists of 4 solicitors from Anthony Collins
Solicitors, they are Rankeshwar Batta a Partner at the firm and
Black Country born and bred. Amy O'Connor, is another local girl,
born, raised and still living in Stourbridge, Amy is a newly
qualified solicitor. Kate Jackson is also a newly qualified
solicitor, was raised in North Yorkshire but has been a Birmingham
resident for a few years now. Finally, David Evison another newly
qualified solicitor, raised in Shropshire and currently a
Birmingham resident.
Rankeshwar said: "At Anthony Collins Solicitors we have a
fantastic working relationship with Nestor Partnership. They
understand and are involved in the work that we do with
disadvantaged people and why we are committed to raising money on
behalf of Whizz Kidz."
"Whizz-Kidz improves the lives of so many children and young
people in the UK, which made choosing to support the charity an
easy decision for the team as it closely aligns with the team's
personal beliefs, as well as Anthony Collins' values and
ethos."
"Through the generosity of Nestor Partnership and others the
FourCubed running team have stormed past our target, of
£10,000 just halfway through our challenge, which fills us
with hope that we can push ahead and raise a final total which can
make a big difference to Whizz Kidz and the children they
help."
Ryan Lewis a Partner at Nestor Partnership said "We have been
working with Anthony Collins Solicitors for a numbers of years now
and throughout that time we have supported and worked with each
other with a view to helping our mutual clients."
"We were originally asked to run one of the marathons alongside
the FourCubed runners, but sadly after years of cross country
running around Shrewsbury and Mid Wales, my knees can't cope with
road running, but we still wanted to be involved and are delighted
to be one of the sponsors. We wish the runners from Anthony Collins
every success in their fundraising quest for the fantastic charity
that is Whizz Kidz."
Rankeshwar added "All money the running team raise will sit
alongside the money raised by the other teams within the firm, who
are all organising individual events to assist their chosen
charities. Hopefully through the FourCubed initiative Anthony
Collins Solicitors can make a huge combined impact on several
charities and their beneficiaries".
The inspiration for FourCubed came about when Rankeshwar Batta
turned 40 this year and wanted to make an extra special
contribution to fundraising with the objective of raising as much
money as possible over a 12 month period, he then convinced three
fellow Anthony Collins' solicitors to take part
Adds Rankeshwar: "The fundraising idea within Anthony Collins is
really beginning to take shape, with several departments now having
raised several thousand pounds for their chosen charities. Each
team has fundraising targets for their chosen charities with an
active campaign for fundraising for the duration of the FourCubed
challenge."
The other charities include: Rathbone, Cord, MLST, Cerebra, The
Children's Society, Cystic Fibrosis, SENSE, The Lighthouse Group
and YMCA.
