The Birmingham office of national commercial property
consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) and property consultancy
Harris Lamb have been appointed as letting agents on one of the
major business parks in Birmingham, and have already let the first
unit.
A company specialising in producing hand-made clay tiles has
moved into Unit 18 on Maybrook Business Park in Minworth, which is
home to 36 warehouse and factory units on a well-established site
close to the M6 and M42.
Heritage Clay, a Kent-based company supplying hand-made clay
tiles, roofing tiles and Spanish slate tiles, have taken the 6,179
sq ft unit on a five year lease.
Maybrook Business Park is one of the main estates in Birmingham
comprising 280,000 sq ft, in units from 2,000 to 50,000 sq ft,
which have been extensively refurbished.
The agents are acting on behalf of London-based Canmoor who
acquired the business park last year from Croudace Properties in a
£13 million deal.
Alex Hanna, Associate Director in LSH's Industrial and Logistics
Agency team said: "Units in the 3,000 sq ft to 15,000 sq ft are
immediately available on the business park. Canmoor has an
extensive ongoing refurbishment programme when units become
available. With the lack of new buildings in this size range we
believe good quality refurbished buildings on well located estates
such as this will be the key to the market for tenants requiring
new buildings."
Neil Slade of Harris Lamb's Industrial and Logistics Agency team
said: "We are very pleased to have been retained on the estate,
working with LSH as joint letting agents. The intensively-managed
park is an attractive, landscaped location which is easily
accessible from the A38, M6, M6 Toll and M42 while still being
close to Birmingham city centre and Birmingham Airport. The units,
which are available on flexible terms, will meet a wide range of
occupier requirements."
