Local businesses are joining forces to support a black tie
fundraising event which is being hosted by Lloyds TSB Commercial,
to help raise much needed finance for the Chernobyl Children Life
Line charity.
The event will be held at the exclusive De Vere Staverton Park
Hotel in Daventry on 10th June, and will commemorate the 25th
anniversary of the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl.
The bank hopes to attract widespread support from business
leaders and professionals from across Oxfordshire and Gloucester
region, in order to raise several thousands of pounds for this
extremely worthwhile cause.
The Chernobyl Children Life Line charity manages numerous
humanitarian projects across Belarus, providing much needed support
to local children, their families and local communities. It also
works with a number of orphanages and children's hospitals.
Guests will be served a three course meal, which will then be
followed by an evening of entertainment.
Event organiser Claire Willcox, Senior Healthcare Banking
Consultant for Lloyds TSB Commercial said:
"The Chernobyl nuclear disaster had a profound effect on the
daily lives of millions of people in Belarus and even 25 years on
since the explosion, the charity still desperately needs financial
support to progress their extremely worthy local projects.
"We hope that the local business and professional community will
turn out to support our event. It promises to be a fabulous evening
socialising with friends and associates, but most importantly, we
want to raise as much money as possible for our charity."
Tickets cost just £35.00 each which includes a three
course meal and coffee, as well as after-dinner entertainment.
