Independent financial advisers ASC Financial Management are to
have a special celebrity guest for their third annual charity golf
day.
The Newcastle-based firm is to host the event, at Wychwood Park
Golf Club on August 4th, to raise funds for homelessness and
domestic violence charity Arch North Staffordshire.
And this year, former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher
will be on hand to play and regale stories from his 30-year
football career at the three course dinner which follows the
game.
Guests will also have their chance to ask questions.
Director Tony Castrey is hoping the total raised will exceed
£5000, the amount raised by their golf days in 2009 and
2010.
He said: "We are looking for companies to enter teams of four
and enjoy a day in the sun on one of the most challenging golf
courses in the region.
"A range of prizes will be on offer for the winners, and we are
looking for a local auto dealership to donate a car for our
hole-in-one competition.
"We are also looking for non-golfers to come forward and help us
with sponsorship, by having banners at each tee, their logos at
each hole or donating auction prizes."
Competitors will be greeted with a free breakfast and stay at
the golf club for a fund-raising auction and three-course meal
after the day's play.
Places cost £250 for a team of four, or £75 each.
Alternatively, tickets for the meal, drinks reception and Dermot
Gallagher's appearance are also available for those who don't want
to take part in the golf day.
Companies involved last year included Reels in Motion, Knight
& Sons Solicitors and Brewin Dolphin. Sponsors included Adept
Vehicle Solutions, JSW Insurance and ABC Digital Solutions.
