Cadbury has been helping improve the Girls Grounds in
Bournville for the community with support from the charity,
Groundwork
Employees from Cadbury's Bournville site got stuck in by
volunteering to paint outdoor railings and clear the grounds. They
also showed off their handiwork, making bird boxes and picnic
benches, as well as preparing flower beds and planting bulbs.
The employees also had fun playing Spots v Stripes games
including a football match and relay races to support Cadbury's
Spots v Stripes Race Season.
Nila Naik, Spots v Stripes Spaces Ambassador at Cadbury's
Bournville site, said: "It's been great to have the opportunity to
improve a space in our community, and to work with Groundwork to
make it happen. We hope that local people have as much fun using
the space and playing games as we have!"
Cadbury has a long history of supporting local communities
through its active employee volunteering programme. In 2010, over
35% of Cadbury employees volunteered during work time.
Cadbury is the official treat provider to the London 2012
Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. Inspired by London 2012 Cadbury
is inviting everyone to split into two teams, Spots and Stripes and
play all sorts of games in the run up to 2012.
