A business advisory firm has promoted two of its directors to
partners to strengthen its team and drive forward continued growth
in 2011.
Cooper Parry, with offices in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham
has continued its investment in the business with the promotions of
Simon Baines to tax partner and John Bryant as corporate finance
partner. The duo, who have a combined professional experience of
nearly fifty years, are part of Cooper Parry's ongoing ambitious
recruitment and growth plans.
Ade Cheatham, chief operating officer at Cooper Parry, described
the two promotions as a very significant milestone in the
development of the practice.
He said: "We are really excited about the promotions of Simon
and John and this is part of our ongoing business strategy and
commitment to our team and clients.

confident they will help bolster the tax and corporate finance

Simon Baines joined Cooper Parry as a tax senior in September
2000 before progressing through the firm as a manager and senior
manager before being made director in January 2010.
He started his career at HMRC where he stayed for 12 years
before joining R Garner & Co. He is a specialist in corporation
tax mitigation, remuneration planning and HMRC enquiries.
The 43-year-old said: "I hope to continue to build strong
relations with clients and provide practical tax solutions to work
alongside their personal and business ambitions."
John Bryant has a decade of experience as a corporate banker
having worked for Royal Bank of Scotland in their corporate and
structured finance team with another 14 years experience in
corporate finance. He joined Cooper Parry in 2005 as an assistant
director in the corporate finance team before being promoted to
director.
His responsibilities will now include developing the corporate
finance offering of the firm alongside fellow partner David
Browne.
He said: "I'm delighted to have been made partner and looking
forward to growing the corporate finance offering further.

senior and experienced team."
