In an office building to the East of Redditch town centre business is booming for one enterprising company harnessing the skills of senior executives to create a thriving new environment for growth.

Lake Chemicals and Minerals recently took 4000 sq ft at 3 Paper Mill Drive to reflect its growing status, acting as the sales and distribution arm for overseas companies wanting to sell to manufacturing companies in the UK and Ireland.

King Sturge acted on behalf of the landlord, SAM Property Company, which also secured  a new lease on a further 4,000 sq ft to a leading global petrochemical company.

Charles Warrack a senior associate at King Sturge says "In the current economic climate it is very uplifting to see businesses continue to grow and expand.  The building has attracted some top local companies and as a modern office building with a good quality working environment it provides a very smart headquarters for organisations."

Steven Cartlidge, director of Lake Chemicals and Minerals sees its relocation to 3 Paper Mill Drive as an essential move to attract the best employees and provide the right image and surroundings for visiting customers.

"We were essentially looking for a quality space in a quality building with good links to the local road networks and 3 Paper Mill ticked all the boxes. Our business has grown from two people when we set up in 2003 to 15 at the present time and we are continuing to expand.

"Conducting business on the international stage, it is important our customers perceive us in the right light.  We often have customers and suppliers from around the world travelling to us for training.  Our business employs top senior technical people and we are looking to attract some of the brightest young graduates to train, so a quality working environment is crucial to getting people to see a long term future with the company." Adds Steven.

Currently with a turnover of £6.5 million and ambitions to increase this to £20 million by 2020, Lake Chemicals and Minerals are geared up for growth and are recruiting another two to the team in the coming weeks.

A further 4000 sq ft is available at 3 Paper Mill.  For further information contact King Sturge. 0121 233 2898.
