Thirteen trainee lawyers at Browne Jacobson hope to raise
thousands of pounds for Nottingham's Home Start charity next month
by scaling three of the highest peaks in Great Britain.
The group have spent weeks training for the challenge which has
included running and hill walking to build up their strength and
stamina.
The challenge will involve the trainees scaling 12,000 feet,
trekking 26 miles and driving over 450 miles in less than 24 hours,
starting at Scotland's Ben Nevis on 3rd June, followed by Scafell
Pike, the smallest of the peaks in North West England and finishing
with Snowdon in North Wales which stands at 1085 metres.
The trainees taking part include: Anna Stokes, Holly Mitchell,
Hannah Bramhall, Helen Gibbons, Hayley Roberts, Ben Standing,
Jonathan Allen, Laura Mackenzie, Laura Richards, Rachael Davey,
Dave Drew, Will Reynolds and Ash Cocker.
Trainee Anna Stokes commented:
"This is going to be one of the hardest and most gruelling
challenges any of us have undertaken. The combination of the
challenging terrain and lack of sleep will really test our
endurance levels but it is something we're all looking forward to.
All our work colleagues, friends and families have been immensely
supportive in sponsoring us and we're determined to raise all we
can for a very worthwhile cause."
